BC Soccer Policy Update *Coach Requirement Policy*Teams not
registering or permitting youth aged players must write into the LIWSA
Registrar indicating such, and only then will the Coach profile be updated with
a notation exempting the requirement.
Please note that this will indicate to the administrative staff that no
youth aged player registration or youth to adult permit will be
allowed/approved.
Any Coach registration/profile missing any information
or requirements and lack of communication with league administrators by September 30, will be
removed from their team roster without notification. Please refer to email communications and Team Official Manual for up-to-date deadlines.
Effective for the 2024 Interior and 2024-25 Coastal seasons of play and beyond the following applies:
Adult Team Head Coaches All Adult Team Head Coaches of any adult team and/or soccer programs that has or may have youth aged players participating must: - Comply with the BC Soccer Criminal Record Check policy prior to participating in their role/activity.
- Complete the following safety training modules prior to the respective season start date:
- Respect in Sport - Activity Leader Program online module (certificate expires after 5 years
- requiring a renewal).
- NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training module and/or online evaluation.
- NCCP Making Headway in Soccer online concussion module.
- NCCP Emergency Action Plan online module.
- NCCP Rule of Two online module.
- • All other training components required for Youth Team Head Coaches are highly recommended for all coaches.
Adult Team Assistant Coaches All Adult Team Assistant Coaches of any adult team and/or soccer programs that has or may have youth aged players participating must: - Comply with the BC Soccer Criminal Record Check policy prior to participating in their role/activity.
- All other training components required for Adult Team Head Coaches and Youth Team Head Coaches are highly recommended for all coaches.
Coaches are required to comply with any additional requirements within the competition rules and regulations they coach in.
